Swavesey is awarded 'PLATINUM' by the 'School Games Mark'.

We are proud of our staff and children to be receiving Platinum, the highest games mark status, once again.

The School Games Mark is a government-led awards scheme which was launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of sporting endeavours and competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.

The Platinum Award was launched in 2018, as an extension of the School Games Mark, to reward schools who have maintained consistently high standards in their school sports provision. As part of the extended application, the eligible candidates, who have achieved five successive gold awards, are asked to submit a detailed case study along with a supporting paragraph from their School Games Organiser (SGO) at the South Cambridgeshire School Sports Partnership (SCSSP).

Since the launch of the Platinum Award in 2018, Swavesey Primary School has consistently achieved this status.

Thank you to all the staff, pupils, parents and carers for the continued support you give, to enable us to continue to maintain such high standards in PE, School Sport and Physical Activity at Swavesey Primary School.
