Plenty of fun at the Panathlon!
Lots of concentration and teamwork were needed at the Panathlon.
Last Friday morning (8th Nov), 8 Year 3–6 children attended a PANATHLON festival, at Impington VC. Panathlon involves playing a variety of 7 different games.
The children (and adults) had a great time and completed these activities - 1 parachute and ball cone game, 3 target throwing activities, 1 basketball, 1 skittles game and 1 New Age Kurling game. We came 5th overall out of 7 teams with a very respectable score of 71.5, and we came 1st in the New Age Kurling event! The winning team's score was 78, so it was close between all teams!
Here are some of the children's thoughts after the event:
Jacob - it was fun and my favourite was the parachute game because you had to collect the balls after they had been thrown into the air! I was good at basketball.
Jasmine- I enjoyed it, and it was exciting. I liked the parachute because I liked the balls bouncing on the parachute. I was good at the target throwing game, where you had to throw the ball to stick to the target.
Noah - it was really really really fun, I was excellent at the skittles game because I knocked 3 of them down in 1 go!
Jeevan- it was so much fun. I loved playing the skittles game! I was very good at basketball.
Ruth- I enjoyed everything, but I especially enjoyed the target throwing game, where we had to get balls in the hoop.
Buzzy - I liked throwing balls at the targets. I loved it!
Charlie - it was good. I liked throwing the ball the best. I was good at the skittles! It was fun.
Frankie- it was fun. I think I liked the parachute game the best.
Thank you to Miss McAuley, Miss Ellson, Mrs Allen and Mrs Kent for taking the children.
