National Finals 'RUNNER UP' for Year 2 Ethan
Proud smiles at the National Tang Soo Do Championships.
Year 2 Ethan recently competed in the National Tang Soo Do Championships, in Bristol, on 9th November.
He had to demonstrate various skills, including sparring and his Hyung (form) amongst approximately 300 competitors and a further 200 spectators. Many of his competition group were much older and of higher grading.
Ethan came second in his rank for his form (Pyung Ahn Ee Dan) an achievement that his Tang Soo Do Masters said is very rare, given his age!
Ethan is currently a green belt 6th gup, senior gup grade. He will be grading again in December, hoping to achieve his green tag, 5th gup. Ethan aspires to be a black belt by the age of 10 (the youngest age you can legally be one!)
Next year Ethan is hoping to travel to Athens to compete as part of Team GB and, in 2026, has the opportunity to travel to America for the World Championships!
What an amazing achievement for somebody so young. Ethan shows great resilience and determination, training very hard to achieve his goals, in a sport he really enjoys and clearly excels at. We look forward to hearing about the next stage of Ethan's journey! A sporting star of the future hopefully...
