We have been planting trees as part of the Queen's Green Canopy Project.  Our trees have come from the woodland trust who are supporting the initiative.  The species planted are wild cherry, rowan and silver birch, and have increased the number planted at the bottom of the field last year to create a small copse.  Additionally, we have planted a set at the top of the field to create more shade for the children.
