PTA Bake Off
We had a wonderful array of entries for our competition and our judges had such a tricky time making their decisions.

....thanks to the generous support of 'The Sustainability Hub' (Swavesey) and 'Oakington Garden Centre'.
Each week our assemblies have a different theme and last week this was our British Values. We focused on democracy and the concepts of inclusion and discrimination.
We explored these through stories, poetry and discussions. The children were engaged and articulate in asking and answering questions, showing they have an age appropriate understanding of these concepts.
In the assembly on democracy we shared an acrostic poem, using the letters of the word to help us understand the concept more and linking this to our own children's councils and committees.
Thank you to the school council for supporting with our photos.
Lots of fun, running in the October sunshine...
BIG smiles for finishing in the Top 12 out of 100 dancers nationally !
Year 5s and 6s warm up at their first Dodgeball Festival.
Lots of fun, laughter and team work from the three teams.
An exciting early evening of 'Bee' Netball for three teams of Year 5 and 6 Pupils...
We held our annual Harvest assembly on Friday (27th) with our donations going to Jimmy's in Cambridge to support the homeless.
During September, the whole school has been having fun exploring poetry. Our Reception classes recited and performed a poem called Choppety Chop, whilst children from Years 1 to 6 developed their knowledge of Classical Poetry. Years 1 and 2 learnt the poem, The Owl and the Pussy Cat, and Years 3 and 4, The Jumblies, both written by the poet Edward Lear. Years 5 and 6 investigated the complex but fun vocabulary in Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll.
We want learning to be fun but that can make it messy!
Year 5s listen during their Sports Leader training, in preparation for Year 6.
