Year 1 and 2 Visit Shepreth Wildlife Park

On Monday 17th June Year 1 and 2 went on an exciting trip to Shepreth Wildlife Park.

To support our learning about habitats in Science, Year 1 and 2 went on a fantastic trip to Shepreth Wildlife Park. We had a wonderful day and saw lots of animals including tigers, lemurs, capuchin monkeys, meerkats and even otters! We also took part in an interesting talk about habitats. Our teachers were really impressed with all of the Science knowledge we had remembered and shared with the talk leader.

You can see some photos from the trip here

Here's what we thought about the trip:

Isaac - I thought Shepreth Wildlife Park was the best trip I have ever been on. I saw beautiful tigers and cute otters. We learnt that the red pandas like to the heat. We thought on the tigers might be golden mile because it was walking around whilst the other one was lying down because it was older. One of the otters was playing with a stone and kept throwing it up in the air.

Poppy - The red pandas were really cute and fluffy. The meerkats looked like they were playing tag!

Elliot - I thought the coatis looked like wolves. I learnt that male coatis like to live on their own but females like to live in a group. My favourite part was when we went to the workshop to learn about lots of different habitats and animals.
